Utah Utes at TCU Horned Frogs
Lupton Stadium, also known as Charlie and Marie Lupton Baseball Stadium and Williams-Reilly Field, is a baseball stadium. The venue is located on Texas Christian University (TCU) campus in Fort Worth, Texas. Lupton Stadium began construction on October 18, 2001. It opened for the local public on February 2, 2003, with a total construction cost of $7 million. Leo A. Daly Architects did the architecture of the building. Lupton stadium is under the ownership of Texas Christian University, and the same body operates it. The total seating capacity of the venue is 9500.
Lupton Stadium has served as the home field to the TCU Horned Frogs baseball team since 2003. The venue was opened as the replacement of the TCU Diamond, the Horned Frogs' home. The playing surface of the venue features one of the latest technology in field maintenance, including a Bermuda TIFF 419 surface. The original stadium also includes offices, two radio booths, a two-tiered complex with three suites, a press box, a ticket office, a general player along with fan facilities, and home and visiting team locker rooms.
Lupton Stadium underwent a major expansion in 2010. The expansion was a $1 million project. Some major renovations took place in 2014 and 2016. The venue is also known for hosting Jim Schlossnagle's baseball camps and many other special events for high school on an annual basis. The stadium hosted some of the Mountain West Conference tournaments, NCAA Super Regional tournaments, and NCAA Regional tournaments.
