The Orpheum Theatre is a performing arts center which is located at 203 South Main Street, Memphis, Tennessee, USA. It has a seating capacity of 2,308 people at a time and was included in the National Register of Historic Places on 1st august 1977. It was the first place to be added on the NRHP list in Memphis. The theatre is under the ownership and operated by the Orpheum Theatre Group. It was opened in 1928 for the general public. The architect of the venue is designed in Renaissance style by the C.W. Rapp and George L. Rapp. The theatre is said to be a victim of paranormal activities that is related to the ghost of a young girl, Mary.

On Christmas day, 1982, The Orpheum begins with a $5 million renovation to restore its 1928 opulence. The reopening ceremony was held in January 1984. In 1996, the theatre underwent its biggest renovation for an $8-million. The curtain opened on 1997-1998 for Orpheum Broadway Season. The last restoration was done in 2014.
There are almost 50,000 students, teachers, and families that are participating in education and community outreach programs held at this place due to its efforts in advance arts education.

The theatre has been host to some large productions including CATS, Les Miserables, Disney's Lion King, etc. It also hosted some great performances by Tony Bennett, Bob Dylan, Jerry Seinfeld, Mary J. Blige, and many more.
