Dreamstyle Arena, nicknamed The Pit, is an arena located in Albuquerque that comes alive during college basketball season. It serves as the home for the New Mexico Lobos basketball team and is considered the place to be when it comes to big-time college hoops action. Lobos focuses on bringing in some of the country's top student-athletes as the team is nearly always contesting for a spot in the NCAA Tournament. The Pit has a seating capacity of approximately 15,411.

On December 1, 1966, The Pit held its first college basketball game. Since then, the number of attendees increases with every new event. The Pit is the nickname given to the arena, chosen by the University of New Mexico students. Many notable events have been held at the arena to date, including NCAA College basketball tournament games in 1968, 1978, 1983, 1985, 1992, 1996, 2000, 2002, 2005, and 2012.
