The Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts is a multi-disciplinary arts center located in Annapolis, Maryland. The arts center is best known for offering opportunities in the arts for individuals of all ages, backgrounds, skill levels, and communities, founded in 1979. It has a seating capacity of 725. The mission to create such a facility was to promote and support art appreciation and education in Maryland. The arts center offers year-round art classes for all age groups ranging from children, teens to adults. The special classes are available in drawing, dance, drama, painting, crafts, and clay/ceramics.
Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts houses five gallery spaces named; the Hallway Gallery, the Chaney Gallery, the Openshaw Gallery, the Martino Gallery, and the Alcove Gallery. Exhibitions are mounted throughout the year. The hall features an Artist-In-Residence program that is meant to provide studio space to visiting and local artists.
Maryland Hall's performing arts program is well-known for presenting national and international artists, local musicians, independent film, children's entertainment, and free performances. Four resident programs are performed at the arts center named Annapolis Opera, the Live Arts Maryland, Ballet Theatre of Maryland, and the Annapolis Symphony Orchestra.
