Brooklyn Bowl - NY - Brooklyn NY
John Medeski (21+ Event)
The Brooklyn Bowl is a bowling alley, restaurant, and music venue. It is located at Wythe Avenue, Brooklyn, New York. The concert hall was open for the general public on July 7, 2009. It has a seating capacity of approximately 600 people. Brooklyn bowl was founded by and is under the ownership of Charley Ryan and Peter Shapiro. Elizabeth Bolognino, Justin Bolognino, along with an Interior designer, Tristan Steinberg, designed the architecture of the Brooklyn Bowl. The venue has opened its branches in London and Las Vegas, as well. The Brooklyn Bowl has become the first bowling alley in the country (most probably in the World as well) to be LEED-certified. This is because its pins potter machines consume 75 % less energy than the typical pins potter. The concert stage floor at the Brooklyn Bowl was constructed by using recycled truck tires and is entirely lit by LEDs. The Rolling Stones has declared the Brooklyn Bowl as the 20th best music club in America.
The Brooklyn Bowl has hosted several notable events and acts such as Guns N’ Roses, The Roots, Elvis Costello, and RJD2. The Benefit was held by the former President, Bill Clinton, in 2010, at the Brooklyn Bowl for the Clinton Foundation Millennium Network. Bill Clinton also held a fundraiser at the Brooklyn Bowl in February 2016 for his wife Hillary Clinton for the 2016 Presidency.
