Heathers - The Musical
New World Stages - Stage 1, originally built as the Loews Cineplex Entertainment movie theater (1994-2001), is an Off-Broadway performing arts complex located in NYC. The venue was inaugurated for the public in 2004, and it is owned and operated by The Shubert Organization. Stage 1 has a seating capacity of 499. The architecture of the Stage 1 building was done by Sachs Morgan, where the interior designer was Klara Zieglerova. The complex is known for housing many commercial theatrical productions, along with readings, concerts, and corporate events.
New York, Stage 1 is famous for its red velvet seats arranged in a traditional orchestra/mezzanine arrangement. This lets the audiences enjoy their favorite productions in an intimate environment, perfectly mixed with excellent sightlines and ample legroom. The venue is now a perfect location for the piggybacking model. It is also available for conferences, readings, workshops, special personal events, and even receptions.
New York, Stage 1 has been home to a variety of Off-Broadway shows. Some of the top ones are The Great American Trailer Park Musical, September 27 – December 4, 2005; Die, Mommie, Die!, October 21, 2007 – January 13, 2008; Rock of Ages, October 1, 2008 – January 4, 2009; Rent, August 11, 2011 – September 9, 2012; Heathers: The Musical, March 31 – August 4, 2014; Tappin' Thru Life, December 23, 2015 – February 21, 2016; iLuminate, November 22, 2016 – January 8, 2017; and Building the Wall, May 24, 2017 - June 4, 2017.
