Evergreen Speedway is an automobile racetrack located in Monroe, Washington, within the Evergreen State Fairgrounds confines. The track is under the ownership of Snohomish County, while High Road Promotions operate it. It opened for the public in 1954, and the stadium can accommodate up to 7,500 spectators. The track has a unique layout in a way that it incorporates an oversized 5/8-mile paved outer oval, a 1/5-mile paved inner oval, a 3/8-mile paved inner oval, a figure-eight track, and a 1/8-mile dragstrip.
Evergreen Speedway is the only sanctioned NASCAR track in the state of Washington. The stadium hosts Formula D the third weekend in July, on an annual basis. Along with NASCAR, the multi-purpose track can be configured to road courses with sanctioned USAC, ASA, SCCA, and NASRA events. Evergreen Speedway is a NASCAR Top Ten Short Track in North America under new ownership for the 2011 season. Throughout its early years, the track played host to a wide variety of racing events such as Figure Eights, Foreign Stock, Sprint Cars, Roadsters, Modifieds, Hobby Stocks, Jalopies, NASCAR Northwest Tour, Super Stocks, and Mini Stocks.
From 1995 to 2000, an event was run by the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series at Evergreen Speedway once a year. Today, the stadium hosts a wide variety of local and regional racing series. A few of the notable classes running currently at the track include Les Schwab Street Stocks (Bombers), Speedway Chevrolet Super Late Models (Super Stocks), Super Figure-Eights, and Outlaw Figure-8s.
