Longwood Lancers at Florida Gators Softball
The Katie Seashole Pressly Softball Stadium is a famous American stadium with a seating capacity of 2,800. The venue opened for the public on February 8, 1997. It is named after the benefactor, Katie Pressly. The venue features a clay infield and a natural grass outfield. It complies with Olympic and NCAA specifications. The University of Florida owns the venue, which serves as a home field for the Florida Gators Softball. The first game played at the stadium was played between the Gators and Stetson Hatters.
On March 23, 2017, UAA Communications announced that the Seashole Pressly Stadium would undergo some renovation with the help of a Gainesville-based construction management company Scorpio. The renovation cost around $15 million, including a 360-degree open concourse, a new locker room, a larger lounge, expanded dugouts, on-site office space for coaches, shade structures for fans, and an elevated press box. The newly renovated stadium made its debut on February 12, 2019. On May 26, 2019, the Katie Seashole Pressly recorded the highest attendance of 3,140 during a home game vs. Tennessee.
