Dort Federal Event Center, also known as the Dort Federal Credit Union Event Center, is a sport, convention, and entertainment venue located in Flint, Michigan. The venue was initially known as IMA Sports Arena, formerly Perani Arena and Event Center. The arena is under the ownership of IMS Hockey Corp. and operated by Firland Management. Dort Federal Event Center broke ground in 1967, and it opened for the public in October 1969.
Dort Federal Event Center serves as the current home of the Flint Firebirds. Some of the former tenants include Flint Generals (IHL) (1969–85), Flint Spirits (IHL) (1985–90), Flint Bulldogs (CoHL) (1991–93), and Flint Flames (IFL) (2000). The complex was named in Bob Perani's honor, the owner of Perani's Hockey World. He was a sports equipment retailer in Flint and paid for the naming rights to the complex. The local high schools and colleges use Dort Federal Event Center for their commencement ceremonies, the Shrine Circus, and the General RV Show yearly.
