Huntington Convention Center of Cleveland - Cleveland OH
2026 Collect-A-Con - Sunday
The Huntington Convention Center of Cleveland is a venue located in downtown Cleveland, Ohio. The venue was built by Cuyahoga County, Ohio, beneath the Cleveland Mall and opened for the general public on June 7, 2013. An older Cleveland Convention Center was present at the current site built in 1964, but it was demolished to build the new one that would be more modern. The center is owned by Cuyahoga County and operated by ASM Global. It was built with a construction cost of $465 million.
After 13 years of discussion, voted initiatives, and planning, a reconstruction plan was set in motion. In 2009, the efforts proved to be fruitful after the agreement was signed between Cuyahoga County and Cleveland. The existing convention center was sold to its new owner for just $20 million.
In October 2010, the new convention plans were approved by city planning officials. Demolition began on January 13, 2011, and the new Convention Center was opened on June 7, 2013, being 410,000 sq ft.
