The Littlejohn Coliseum is a multi-purpose arena that is located in Clemson, South Carolina. The venue broke ground on December 13, 1966. It opened for the local public on November 30, 1968, with a total construction cost of $8 million. The J.E. Sirrine Company designs the original architecture of the building. It has a seating capacity of 9,000 for basketball, serving as the home field to the men's and women's basketball teams of the Clemson University Tigers. It is also the host site of the Clemson Career Fair and Clemson graduations. The arena is under the ownership of Clemson University and is operated by the same. The arena hosts 150+ events on an annual basis. This includes trade shows, galas, concerts, and sporting events.
Apart from basketball, the Littlejohn Coliseum has hosted many concerts by Huey Lewis & The News, John Cougar Mellencamp, Rod Stewart, Ozzy Osbourne, David Lee Roth, and many more. The venue underwent major renovation twice, on January 5, 2003, and October 14, 2016, completed by HOK Sport. The entire renovation project cost $63.5 million. The renovated venue included the new Swann Pavilion that features team suites, gym, weight room, and lounges. Also, the stadium entrance and exterior were upgraded. Two new LED boards were installed, and the basketball floor was rotated 90 degrees.
