The Ascend Amphitheater is the stunning open-air event venue, which is located 301 1st Avenue South, Nashville, Tennessee. The outdoor theatre opened to the general public on July 30th, 2015, with a construction cost of around $52 million. The amphitheater has a seating capacity of about 6,800, including 4,500 lawn seats and 2,300 fixed seats. The venue is under the ownership of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, while Live Nation Entertainment manages it. The architecture of the building was designed by Hodgetts + Fung (HplusF) design studio.

Eric Church rocked the opening ceremony of the amphitheater with two sold-out shows on July 30 and 31, 2015. It was followed by Earth, Wind & Fire on August 1st, Chicago, and Phish on August 4th.
