The Jefferson Performing Arts Center (JPAC) is an American live event venue located in Jefferson Parish in Metairie, Louisiana. The center has a seating capacity of 1,065. It was primarily designed to host private or corporate events, ballet, choral concerts, symphonies, musicals, and grand operas. The venue opened for the public in the Spring of 2015. At that time, it was managed by SMG.
JPAC was built for around $54.5 million, featuring an acoustically designed interior, a 54 feet proscenium arch stage with a mechanical orchestra lift, six ensemble dressing rooms, four star-dressing rooms, a theatrical fly rigging system, and much more. There is also a theatre inside the arts center named after former Louisiana State Senator Ken Hollis, who helped secure the funds for the theater.
JPAC aims to provide the Jefferson Parish metropolitan area with state-of-the-art and modern theatre to increase the Arts to the community. The authorities also wanted to include plays and concerts inclusive of all cultures and ages to implement the standards of an ASM Global managed facility. ASM global was formed in October 2019 as the merger of SMG (the former management company for JPAC) and AEG Facilities.
