The U.S Bank Arena was previously named as the Riverfront Coliseum, The Crown, and Firstar Center. It is an outdoor arena located at 100 Broadway Street in downtown Cincinnati, Ohio, adjoining the Great American Ball Park. The construction of the venue began on November 12, 1973, and opened to the general public on September 9, 1975. The arena has a seating capacity of 17,556 for concerts, 17,000 for Basketball, and 14,453 for Ice hockey or arena football. The venue is owned by Nederlander Entertainment and Anschutz Entertainment Group while it is operated by the Anschutz Entertainment Group. The architecture of the arena was designed by Pattee Architects, Inc with a construction cost of $20 million. The arena underwent renovation in 1997, with a construction cost of $14 million. Names of the tenants to the arena are Cincinnati Stingers from 1975-1979, Cincinnati Bearcats from 1976-1987, Cincinnati Kids from 1978-1979, Cincinnati Tigers from 1981-1982, Cincinnati Rockers from 1992-1993, Cincinnati Silverbacks from 1997-1998, Cincinnati Cyclones from 1997-2004 and 2006-present, and a few others.

Some notable events held at the U.S Bank arena are concerts performed by ZZ Top on March 21, 1980, The Allman Brothers Band and Muddy Waters on September 9, 1975, Elvis Presley on June 25, 1977, along with World Figure Skating Championships in 1987, NCAA Men’s Division I Basketball in 1988, and a variety of others.
