Founders Park is a peaceful and beautiful riverside park located in Old Town Alexandria, Virginia. The park is located close to King Street, the Marina, and the Torpedo Factory Art Center’s shops and restaurants. It is Johnson City TN’s five-acre green space in the heart of Downtown Johnson City. Being a popular urban green space, Founders Park is a favorite spot for the public to stroll along the shore.

Founders Park is an ideal place to enjoy the scenic river, have a picnic, play volleyball, meet friends, and much more. The park is a great place to relax and enjoy the fresh air and natural beauty alongside the Potomac River. Founders Park is maintained as a passive park for all to enjoy by the City of Alexandria. It cannot be reserved in whole or even in part, but informal events may be held without interfering with other’s enjoyment.

Founders Park Community Association (FPCA) was incorporated in 1979 to improve and maintain Founders Park. They work alongside the City of Alexandria and other civic groups to protect, preserve, and improve the venue. It is also responsible for maintaining the park’s designation as a passive park.
