The McAllen Convention Center is a multipurpose event center located in South Texas. The venue officially opened for the public in November 2016. It has hosted over 450 world-class events since its opening. The event center was specially designed to host everything beyond conventions and meetings. Whether a community event, concert, dance, or Theatre production, the venue also has its doors wide open. The total seating capacity of the event center is 3,500. The venue served as the former home to the Continental Basketball Association's Rio Grande Valley Silverados. The complex is best known for hosting over 500 events on an annual basis. It is also known for attracting an average attendance of 400,000 attendees every year.

The McAllen Convention Center has become one of the popular concert venues in town that knows how to create a picture-perfect backdrop for local weddings. The Convention Center also features a 60,000 sq. ft. column-free exhibit hall, along with two boardrooms, a grand ballroom, and up to 16 breakout rooms for meetings or even smaller events.
